A strength of this game is a large map, I can't wait to see what you fill it with. Some friction is that the enemy traps me against the wall, every.single.time. I only have a small sword to defend my honor. You could improve this Itch page by adding images of the player, enemies, pickups, world anything to ENTICE us to play.

I like exploring the big map, it's interesting to see what's around the corner.

One friction is that the enemy is too fast and often traps me against the floor. Also I think the enemy's health is the same as the player's health?

You could add a list of controls to the itch.io page.

The game looks cool but needs some more work.A strength in the game is the character having a weapon against the enemy.A friction is the character cant get away from the enemy.Something to improve is the enemy being a little slower.

The character’s animation and sprites are great. One issue is that even when the character’s health bar is empty, he is still alive. Also, remember to update the description of the control keys in the game.

I really liked the design of the player and the sword she wields. A point of friction I encountered was that I could only get the game to start after mmultiple consecutive restarts of the webpage. Lastly, one thing you could do to improve the Itch page would be to add instructions on how to play in the description.

One strength is that the enemy works and attacks. One point of friction is the enemy having max range to attack you. I would add controls to the Itch page.

One strength this game has is there is a big map and the speed and the movement is very funny. A friction in the game is both you and the mob cannot die and it seems like you guys have shared health. An improvement for the Itch page is add instructions on what to do.

One strength i see in this game is the fighting and a big map to accommodate the quick movement. One friction i found is that the enemy doesnt let you go, it follows very fast and persistent. the enemy trappend me at the corner of the map. I feel like the description doesn't prepare you for the enemy. the enemy comes almost instantly. Maybe you can add something across the lines of: " And beware of the monster lurking in the waters.."

Student comment:

I like the art and how the main character looks. One point of friction I encountered is I have no idea what I'm supposed to do. I would improve the itch page by adding more of a storyline and context.

I like the movements. But the game is confusing to play and you can't hit the enemy and when the enemy attacks the player and enemy take damage.could add a better way to do damage to. the enemy and.

- The movement is fun, you can juke the red box
- No clear objective on what to do, just running around as of now
- Could add gameplay images onto the itch page

I like the model for the player and how big the map was. But i think it was suppose to turn around with the weapon after pressing A/D and i think you could improve your itch page by giving controls of the player.

I love how Spaceish the map is and a fraction I had was when the   enemy got me it'll start a endless cycle and a itch improvement might be adding more drawings to the sides

So I really love how you can swing the sword, the animation, and the map layout. However bugs occurs upon doing the following:

Suggestion:

  • Add a Map UI that helps the player navigate the deep seas, or shows the part where you explored.
  • Make the enemy turn from white to red so I would know who's hitting who.

Bugs:

  • So when a player is enclosed by either two, three corners and it is being pushed to the enemy (Wall/Roof/Floor behind/Top/Bottom of the player and its being pushed by the enemy) then the player will be stuck.
  • (Unsure): The enemy's or the player's friction is way too much I am not sure if it's intended, or it's still in testing phase. However the enemy can be easily duked by the player even with less movement.
  • No boundaries the player, and the enemy can leave the map.
  • The Top Left UI (I assume the Health) is being decreased for both player and the enemy.
  • If I were to attack the enemy I can't tell if the enemy is getting damage, or I'm getting damage because both UIBar decreases, or the sword doesn't really do nothing at all which is I am unsure of.

Web Design:

First of all I love the design the website it matches the theme of the game. However I think there is more work needed for the description and I also understand this is a WIP (Work in Progress).

  • Is this a puzzle game, or what? Figuring out on what happened by "what"?
  • I am also confused to the controls, because some games have like something that doesn't tell you. Maybe a map, or a inventory.

NOTE: My comments can be mistaken, and no harmful or insults is intended.

A strength I like in the game is the map is very well made and the art also is visually appealing. A point of friction is that when we lose all out health we don't die. For the itch page I would maybe add more detail on how to play the game or how you win/lose.

A strength is the movement. It's really smooth and forces you to try to predict where the wall is. A point of friction is that when you run out of health you just respawn where you were, and if you get stuck, you stay in the same spot and respawn endlessly without being able to move. I would change the cover art to make it look more relevant to the game.

A strength so far is the character movement. Things to work on is to add a skin for the enemy and to work on the health bar because the player can move after having no health. I would add a skin to the enemy and fix the health bars to improve the game.

I like the game I feel it is cool and the map is big.And the game have some bug is if you die you will Immediate Rebirth and the boss also just like a cycle again and again.

Student hongliang: Very cool map it big and can running anywhere, the art very cool and nice.

I like the map and how the powerful the enemy in addition to the art is nice. I think you should add more to the fighting mechanics and add a restart button.

Student Feedback: The concept of waking up in a deep part of the ocean is intriguing. It makes me wonder why, and how did the player get there. The gameplay currently is a little unplayable considering you cannot outrun the enemy. If you get caught, it becomes and endless cycle and you won't be able to respawn elsewhere. I also noticed on this itch page that you guys took inspiration from the Roblox game called Pressure.

i like the art but the enemy traps you and you cant do anything. Would add a way to kill the enemy or a restart button.

the map and character is great. The enemy is way too fast and it traps you in certain places of the map. the weapon only swings in one direction and it damages the enemy without me swinging at it

sprites and map is nice, but the enemy is way to fast and gets player traped. also a safe area with a control board would be a nice addition

The style looks cool and i like how the character looks like. You cant kill the enemy or you cant even die, you cant outrun the enemy so his on you all the time. add the controls so people could understand what to do when they play the game

the big enemy is really fast and you cant kill it. You also get stuck if the enemy blocks you, but other than that the game looks good and has nice art designs.

The sprites and art is very nice and contribute a lot to the game. The enemy is way too fast and it traps the main character. I would suggest adding what each key on the keyboard does in the game so that players can understand the controls before playing the game.
